The Otoe-Missouria Tribe provides housing services through the assistance of the Native American Housing Assistance and Self-Determination Act of 1996 (NAHASDA) from the department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Current tribal services include the low rent housing project, homeowner rehabilitation, rental/security deposit assistance, and homebuyer assistance program (HBA). The Otoe-Missouria Housing Authority (OMHA) has been given the responsible for developing and maintaining of housing related activities in compliance with HUD rules and regulations. Each service has particular requirements, but all participants must meet low income requirements determined by HUD. Applicants cannot be delinquent on any debt owed to the Otoe-Missouria Tribe or any agencies, programs or departments governed under the Tribe.
