The Tribal Assistance Benefits Card Replaces previous Medical/Eyeglass Assistance Program
At the beginning of 2018 the Otoe-Missouria Tribe will roll out a new healthcare benefit card for all tribal members. This card will replace the Tribal Assistance Program’s $1,000 medical assistance and $250 eyeglasses assistance category.
The Tribal Assistance Benefits Card is a debit card that can be used to pay for eligible healthcare expenses at the point-of-purchase, eliminating the need to apply for assistance through the TAP program. Each tribal member’s card will be loaded with $1,250 annually to pay for qualifying medical expenses. The card may be used for qualifying medical expenses at locations that accept MasterCard.
Remember to keep your receipts when using the Tribal Assistance Benefits Card because some expenses may need to be verified.
