The 7C Land and Cattle LLC
The Otoe-Missouria Tribe is the proud owners of a cattle ranch located just southeast of the tribal complex.
The tribe owned cattle in the mid 1970’s, but as Tribal Council membership changed so did the interest in owning and operating a cattle ranch. The herd was sold off and the land leased to local farmers.
Decades later the Tribal Council decided to again invest in cattle. The 7C Land and Cattle LLC was established in the fall of 2010 on the land formerly known as the Harold Mullins Farm. The ranch sits two miles east of the Otoe-Missouria Housing Development. It consists of 900 plus acreas of grass and cultivated land.
The tribe has seen the herd grow to 600 head of Black Angus cross mixed cattle. They go to market twice a year and have had great success in increasing their investment.
