Child ProtectionChild Protection is a service provided to Native families and children to alleviate risk factors that lead to abuse or neglect of children. The Otoe-Missouria Tribe accepts referrals of alleged abuse and/or neglect of children. The Otoe-Missouria Tribe has primary responsibility for protection of Indian children who live on Trust or Restricted Indian land WITHIN the jurisdiction of the Otoe-Missouria Tribe as defined by the BIA. Referrals for non-Indian children, or for those families who live outside of the jurisdiction of the Otoe-Missouria Tribe will be referred to the appropriate agency.
